On Sunday, deputies from the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department were dispatched to 114 County Road 251 for a domestic incident that had occurred.

Upon their arrival, deputies determined that Brandon James Moore, 36, of Oxford, was the aggressor in the incident and he was arrested. Deputies investigated the victim’s injuries and discovered she had bruising around her neck from where Moore had allegedly choked her.

Moore was then transported to the Lafayette County Detention Center and charged with Domestic Violence Aggravated Assault. His bond was set at $7,500 by Lafayette County Justice Court.
