The Mississippi Highway Patrol is currently investigating an accident involving an overturned 18-wheeler on MS-3 near Satartia in Yazoo County.

The accident happened early Monday morning, leading to both lanes of the highway being closed as emergency crews work to clear the scene.

The driver of the truck was transported to the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC) with injuries that have not yet been disclosed.
