An overnight crash involving an ATV and SUV on Feed Mill Road near Soso injured an adult female and three year old child overnight.
Jones County Sheriff’s Department deputies responded to the crash at 9:16pm on Wednesday. The adult female operating the ATV and her three year old passenger sustained apparent serious to critical injuries, respectively.
Both were transported by EMServ Ambulance Service to South Central Regional Medical Center in Laurel. The child was later airlifted by helicopter to the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. The adult male driver of the SUV declined medical transport.
Volunteer fire and rescue units from Soso Fire & Rescue and Calhoun Fire & Rescue also responded to the crash scene.
The crash is under investigation by the Jones County Sheriff’s Department.
