One Person Rescued After Retaining Wall Collapsed In Oxford

On Monday, September 5, the Oxford Fire Department was dispatched to a retaining wall that had collapsed.

The collapse happened at 601 Commerce Parkway.

Fire Engine 3 was first to arrive on scene and found the wall partially collapsed with one person trapped.

Firefighters were able to extract one person from the hole. EMS transported the patient from the scene.

So far, the condition of the patient has not yet been released.

OFD FD1, FD2, FD4, Battalion 1, Engine 3, Truck 2, Truck 4, & Rescue 4; LCFD, OPD Baptist Ambulance, and Hospital Wings all responded to the call.

A total of 23 firefighters helped with the incident.
