On Saturday, October 15, at approximately 7:30 AM, the Mississippi Highway Patrol responded to a multiple vehicle fatal crash on Highway 84 in Covington County.

A 2016 Chevrolet Malibu driven by 22-year-old Eddie Tanner of Canton, was driving east on Highway 84.

A 2004 Buick Lesabre driven by 50-year-old James Hilton of Taylorsville, traveled south on Salem Church RD crossing over Highway 84.

The 2016 Chevrolet Malibu collided with the passenger side of the 2004 Buick Lesabre in the eastbound lanes of Highway 84.

James Hilton Received fatal injuries from the crash and was pronounced dead on the scene. Joseph C. Crosby a passenger also received fatal injuries from the crash.

This crash remains under investigation by the Mississippi Highway Patrol
