Update: On Thursday, February 8, 15-year-old Christian Powell was arrested for Capital Murder, and Aggravated Assault in connection to this case.

One person is dead after a Sunday shooting in Jackson, authorities said.

Jackson Police Department was called to Red Oak Drive on Sunday to investigate what appears to be a homicide and aggravated assault that occurred in the 300 block. Detectives learned that the victims were shot at this location.

One of the victims, Charles Brown, was pronounced dead at the scene.
