On Sunday, April 2, at approximately 1:16 AM, the Oxford Police Department received a 911 call about a single-vehicle rollover accident on Gertrude Ford by Old Taylor Rd.

One of the occupants, 20-year-old Mayanity Alridge (of Bay Springs, MS) died from her injuries in the crash. She was pronounced deceased at Baptist Memorial Hospital.

According to police, the other occupant of the vehicle was transported to Baptist Memorial Hospital and is in stable condition.
