On Sunday, April 28, at approximately 5:01 p.m., the Mississippi Highway Patrol responded to a one-vehicle crash on US-80 near Jones Rd. in Hinds County.
A 2017 Ford Focus driven by 32-year-old Curicous Palmer of Bay Minette, AL, was traveling east on US-80 when it ran off the road and was ejected from the vehicle after colliding with a tree. Mr. Palmer received fatal injuries from the crash and was pronounced deceased on the scene.
This crash remains under investigation by the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
