UPDATE: The man who fell into the Reservoir has been identified as David Shane Curtis. The Reservoir Police Department said they are trying to find any family of the victim.

According to Reservoir Police Chief Trevell Dixon one person was killed after a vehicle went into the Reservoir near Madison Landing around 5:15 a.m.

Chief Dixon said the car went into the water near Red Dot Road.

There were two people inside the vehicle. One made it to safety and was transported to UMMC.

Another deceased male victim was found in the water.

The vehicle is being recovered right now. Chief Dixon said they are unsure of the make and model.
