One man is dead after a drive-by shooting in Jackson, according to WLBT.
Capitol Police Chief Bo Luckey said the shooting happened Sunday afternoon. Another man was injured in the shooting that took place on North Jefferson Street near Harding Street.
Two cars, one with the two victims inside, and the other with the suspects were both driving north on Jefferson Street.
The car with the suspects began firing shots at the other car.
Chief Luckey said that witnesses in the area gave police a description of the possible suspect vehicle. Officers are working to find this vehicle now.
Chief also said that he believes the shooting was targeted and a retaliation crime.
He said the suspects have no connection to this area.
