According to a release from Rankin County, one person was arrested after a traffic stop on I-20.
Police found over 70 pounds of methamphetamine.
On Wednesday, a criminal interdiction deputy stopped a car on I-20 when the deputy “developed probable cause that the suspect may be involved in drug trafficking”.
A K9 deputy and his partner came to help and the K9, Voodoo alerted police to the presence of drugs.
Over 74 pounds of methamphetamine were found in the cargo area of the vehicle.
Deputies arrested Pedro Sosa for aggravated drug trafficking of meth and he was taken to the Rankin County jail.
His bond has not yet been set.
