One Arrested In Southaven For Attempted Murder

Arrested in shooting Source: Southaven Police Department
On Sunday, November 20th, the Southaven Police responded to the area of 624 Rasco Road regarding a shooting complaint.
Upon arrival, officers located several vehicles that had been hit by gunfire.
No suspects were on the scene, and the Investigative Services Unit assumed the lead in the investigation.
ISU detectives located video footage of the shooting and the events that led up to the shooting. The suspect’s identity was unknown at this time.
On Monday, November 21, ISU detectives were able to identify two of the individuals involved in the shooting.
A search warrant was executed at a home in the Greenbrook area, where numerous firearms were located, including one used in the shooting.
Detectives were able to determine that this subject had returned fire in self-defense after being shot at.
Detectives then determined that two other parties were living at a home in Horn Lake, MS.
The Southaven Police Department, along with the Horn Lake Police Department, executed a search warrant at the residence.
The two suspects were located, and Desimen Dashun Rodgers was taken into custody for attempted murder.
The Southaven Police Department said,
“We would like to thank the Horn Lake Police Department for its assistance in this investigation. Partnerships like this make it possible to quickly apprehend dangerous suspects off the streets no matter where they attempt to hide.”
