The Mississippi Emergency Management Agency and state and local partners worked together as the state experienced winter weather conditions.
This system caused damage to water and power systems and shut down transportation in some areas of the state.
Since January 14th 29 injuries and 12 fatalities have been reported to MEMA.

Grenada: 2 Injuries
Humphreys: 1 Fatality
Leflore: 2 Fatalities
Marshall: 1 Fatality, 1 Injury
Panola: 2 Fatalities, 6 Injuries
Rankin: 1 Fatality, 17 Injuries
Sharkey: 1 Fatality
Sunflower: 1 Fatality
Washington: 1 Fatality, 3 Injuries
