GLUCKSTADT — A Gluckstadt man was arrested after police said he went to his girlfriend’s workplace, damaged her cellphone and took $650 before fleeing the scene.
Lucas Tapia was taken into custody a short time later at his place of employment, according to the Gluckstadt Police Department. Officers recovered the $650 from Tapia and returned it to the victim, police said.
Tapia was booked at the Gluckstadt Police Department on charges of felony strong-arm robbery, misdemeanor simple assault (domestic violence) and misdemeanor malicious mischief, police said.
He was then transported to the Madison County Detention Center, where he will await an initial appearance in Gluckstadt Municipal Court, police said.
All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
