JACKSON – Two security officers were shot early Friday during an incident at a Jackson nightclub.
Jackson police responded around 2 a.m. Jan. 30, 2026, to Club Twilight in the 3000 block of Livingston Road after reports of a shooting, according to police.
Homicide detectives learned an argument between two employees, a husband and wife, led to the male employee being fired by the club’s owner, police said.
As security guards helped the owner instruct the man to leave, the man pulled a gun from his pants and fired, striking both security officers, police said. The club owner also was injured by shattered glass during the shooting.
The two security officers were taken to local hospitals and were listed in stable condition. Police said charges are being filed, and the investigation is ongoing.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Jackson Police Department at 601-960-1234 or Crime Stoppers at 601-355-TIPS (8477).
