JACKSON COUNTY — An 88-year-old Vancleave man died Monday morning in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 57, according to the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
The collision happened about 8 a.m. Monday when a 2013 Kia Optima, driven by John Kowal, was traveling north and collided with a southbound 2024 Freightliner dump truck driven by 46-year-old Raymond Forman of Gulfport.
Kowal suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Forman was not injured.
The crash remains under investigation by the Highway Patrol.
