Central Mississippi Turtle Rescue is asking for help getting a box turtle back to its release area in Meridian.
The rescue initially needed volunteers to transport two box turtles, one to Starkville and another to Meridian. A volunteer has since been found for the Starkville turtle.
The organization is still looking for someone who will be traveling to Meridian within the next few days and can safely transport the remaining turtle to a designated release location.
Anyone able to help is encouraged to contact Central Mississippi Turtle Rescue directly.
