DARKHORSE DOGS: Sweet Ginger, who is full of personality, is looking for her forever home

STARKVILLE, Miss. — A young dog at the Oktibbeha County Humane Society is looking for a family to call her own.

Ginger is a 1-year-old pit bull mix who arrived at the shelter as a stray a few weeks ago. While staff members do not know much about her life before she came to OCHS, they say she has quickly shown plenty of personality.

According to the shelter, Ginger walks well on a leash, already knows how to sit and loves attention from people.

She is also a fan of belly rubs and, despite her size, apparently considers herself a lap dog.

Staff members describe Ginger as affectionate and eager to be close to people.

The humane society is encouraging anyone interested in adopting to come meet Ginger and see whether she could be the right fit for their home.

Those interested can message the Oktibbeha County Humane Society for more information or visit during the shelter’s adoption hours.
