For 31 years, there has been a beautiful tradition that happens in Jackson for one day. A locally owned flower shop called Greenbrook Flowers makes the capital city more beautiful and kind for one day out of the year. It’s an event the comunity looks forward to every year.
This year, it will happen this coming Wednesday!
A dozen roses are given away for free, and the only catch is that you get to keep one rose and then you have to give the other 11 away.
The event will take place on Wednesday, September 10, at Greenbrook Flowers, 705 North State Street in Jackson, beginning at 8:00 a.m. and continuing until all the roses are gone.
The tradition, started in 1994 by Greenbrook Flowers, and has continued every year since then.
Locally, it has become a cherished way to bring the community together, fostering kindness and connection throughout Jackson and the surrounding communities.
Organizers hope this year’s event will be one of the largest and help unite the community and put smiles on some faces.
