A suspect in a July Jackson homicide was taken into custody on Tuesday morning after a 3-hour standoff with the US Marshals.
Nakia Lewis, who was wanted as an accessory in the July shooting death of Charles Shavers, had locked himself in the attic of a home on Leavell Woods Drive and refuse to come out.
Marshals eventually had to go in and get him.
Another suspect in the case, Amber Edwards, was arrested by the Marshals task force yesterday in Shavers’ death. Shavers was found shot to death in a home on Clark Street.
