Monday weather: storms possible ahead of cold front

Mary Apel

Isolated (and some severe) thunderstorms are possible through early this afternoon as a cold front moves through the region. Any severe storms will be capable of producing damaging wind gusts and hail up to quarter size. A tornado can’t be ruled out.

The chance for showers and thunderstorms will move east across the forecast area today as a cold front moves through the region. The front will bring north winds and cooling temperatures throughout the day after it passes.

The chance for light rain will return to southern parts of the area late tonight into early Tuesday morning. Otherwise expect partly to mostly cloudy skies and low temperatures in the 30s and 40s across the area tonight.
