On Friday, March 10, at approximately 8:15 PM, the Mississippi Highway Patrol responded to a deadly crash on Highway 609 in Jackson County.

A 2009 Dodge Ram driven by 73-year-old David Wright of Biloxi, traveled north on Highway 609 when it collided with a 2010 Buick Lucerne driven by 66-year-old Kathleen Mangin of Ocean Springs, turning from Ponce De Leon Dr onto Highway 609 south.

Kathleen Mangin received fatal injuries from the crash and was pronounced dead on the scene.

This crash remains under investigation by the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
