The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation has activated a Silver Alert on behalf of the Jackson Police Department for a man named Melvin Simpson.

Simpson is 64 years old and is 5’8″ and weighs 230 pounds.

He was last seen on Valentine’s Day at 1:41 p.m. in the 400 block of Springfield Circle in Hinds County.

He was driving a 2023 burgundy Mitsubishi Mirage bearing a Mississippi tag 887-DAV.

He was wearing black and red joggers with a grey hoodie.

Family members say Melvin suffers from a medical condition that may impair his judgment.
