According to the Vicksburg Police Department, a man wanted in a stabbing was arrested Friday, October 27.
Police said that just before 8:00 p.m., officers responded to the Days Inn motel on Warrenton Road for a reported assault.
The victim was a 33-year-old man who had been slashed in the face with something sharp.
He was transported by a Vicksburg Fire Department ambulance to Merit Health River Region for treatment.
On Saturday, October 28, were told that the suspect was at Waterview Casino.
Officers responded to the casino and arrested 42-year-old Marshall Wesley Simmons of Philadelphia.
He appeared before a judge and was charged with Aggravated Assault.
His bond was set at $70,000.
He was bound over to the Warren County Grand Jury.
