One person has been arrested after a Jackson police cruiser was stolen at 2:00 a.m. on Sunday.
According to Jackson police, the suspect suffers from “Extreme Mental Illness”.
Officers responded to 1220 Violet Street regarding a person who was off his meds and suffering from an extreme mental illness.
When officers arrived, Trevin Bell jumped into an officer’s patrol car and fled.
Bell drove down Martin Luther King Blvd. near Medgar Evers Blvd. There was no weapon in the vehicle.
He was arrested later that day and taken into custody.
