Hinds County Deputies responded to 25600 HWY 18 in Utica, at approximately 12:00 am in reference to shots fired at a bonfire.

When deputies arrived, they found 19-year-old Demerius Paige suffering from two gunshot wounds, one in the arm and one in the leg.

He was transported to the University Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. Hinds County deputies say there are no known suspects at this time.
