Man Pleads Guilty to Sexual Battery in Pontotoc County

36-year-old Timothy Daniel Martin pleaded guilty today in Pontotoc County Circuit Court to two counts of sexual battery.

Martin was sentenced to 30 years in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections.

Due to the nature of the offenses, Martin is ineligible for parole or early release.

He will be required to register as a sex offender upon his release.

The case was investigated by Pontotoc County Sheriff’s Department Investigator Gary Cowsert and prosecuted by Assistant District Attorneys Reagan Wise and Sidra Winter.
