Late last week, Tupelo police officers responded the area of Van Buren Avenue and Tyler Drive in reference to an individual attempting to break into vehicles.
When they got there, police talked with multiple property owners who stated that a suspect was seen pulling on car door handles. Officers located the suspect nearby and he was arrested on unrelated charges.
After further investigation, Tiyosha L. Pratt, 27, of Nettleton, was charged with five counts of Burglary of a Vehicle.
Pratt was out on bond for Burglary of a Vehicle at the time of his arrest, so he had his previous bond revoked by Tupelo Municipal Court Judge Sumner.
This case will be presented to the Lee County Grand Jury.
