According to WDAM, a man was hit by a car while walking in Jones County.
Around 8:50 pm, Sunday, South Jones and South West Jones volunteer fire departments responded to Highway 11 south of Moselle for a vehicle versus pedestrian.
A man was reportedly walking on the road when he was hit by a vehicle driving south on the highway.
The pedestrian was killed immediately upon impact.
MHP, JCSO, the Jones County Coroner’s Office, and Emserv Ambulance Service all responded to the accident.
The driver of the car didn’t have significant injuries, while the car was moderately damaged.
