The Jackson Police Department is investigating a shooting that happened in the 3300 block of Revels Avenue Thursday afternoon.
According to Jackson Police Officer Sam Brown, a 39-year-old man was shot once in the lower right side of his body after a fight with 37-year-old Marvin Warren.
Warren fled the scene right after the shooting and crashed the car he was driving near Bullard Street.
Warren was injured in the wreck and was transported to UMMC by AMR. He is in critical condition.
The victim of the shooting was also transported by AMR to UMMC and is in stable condition.
