On March 1, the Jackson Police Department began investigating an Aggravated Assault that occurred in the area of Jayne Ave. and Lindsey Drive.
Detectives learned that the victim was shot at this location. The victim was transported to the hospital in critical condition.
Through the investigation, detectives learned that suspect Cory Mitchell was responsible for this assault.
A warrant was issued for his arrest and he was taken into custody.
