On Monday, November 1, 2022, around 12:30 pm, officers with the Greenville Police Department were dispatched to 1400 E. Union (Delta Health System) in reference to sexual assault against a female juvenile.
When officers arrived, they spoke with the parent of the 11-year-old female victim. She alleges that Justin Sanford had sexual intercourse with her daughter. The 11-year-old victim said it has happened more than once.
The victim alleges that Sanford told her if she told anyone that he would kill her and her mother.
Investigators were able to obtain a warrant for Sanford’s arrest on the charge of Statutory Rape, based on the information provided. Sanford was taken into custody on January 5, 2023, without incident. Sanford currently sits in the Washington County Regional Correctional Facility awaiting his initial court appearance.
Sanford is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
