On July 29, 2024, Prentiss County Deputy Cody Horn, while assisting the Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP) with a safety checkpoint at the intersection of Chambers and South Lake, arrested 25-year-old Donnie Wayne Salmon of Gore Springs.
Salmon was taken into custody on charges of possession of hydrocodone. The case will be presented to the next Grand Jury by North Mississippi Narcotics Agent Grady Smith.
Prentiss County Justice Court Judge Ray Hall has set Salmon’s bond at $5,000. The investigation is ongoing, and further details will be released as they become available.
