On August 17, the Tupelo Police Department pulled over a 2013 Ford Fusion for a traffic stop on East Main and Elizabeth.
They arrested the driver, 38-year-old Leopoldo Gomez (aka “Polo”) after finding 105 alleged fentanyl pills in his possession.
After searching Gomez’s motel room, North Mississippi Narcotics Unit Agents found approximately 700 more alleged fentanyl pills. Gomez was charged with trafficking fentanyl.
Gomez is being held without bond.
