Long Beach Chiropractor Arrested on Drug Charges

On Wednesday, a chiropractor in Long Beach was arrested on drug charges and tampering with evidence.

According to Sheriff Troy Peterson, 53-year-old Joseph “Joey” Andrew Rogers was arrested for felony charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance, Methamphetamine, Tampering with Evidence and two counts of Sale of a Controlled Substance, Fentanyl.

On Wednesday, August 10, Harrison County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division executed a search warrants at Rodgers’ home on West Third Street as well as his chiropractor office on Klondyke Road.

During the search, Rogers ran from investigators inside of his house, throwing fentanyl into the toilet.

Rogers was arrested where officers found personal use quantities of methamphetamine and paraphernalia indicative of heroin and fentanyl use.

Rodgers was also charged with two counts of Sale of a Controlled Substance, Fentanyl, stemming from previous undercover operations. He was booked into the Harrison County Jail held in lieu of a $200,000.00 surety bond.

The Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics, the Coastal Narcotics Enforcement Team and the Long Beach Police Department also assisted in the investigation.
