Clinton Police Department has updated the media in regards to the fatal shooting of Robert Davis, 45, on Sunday.

William Irvin Edwards, 55, who is also known as “Napoleon Edwards” and “Polo” is wanted by the Clinton Police Department in connection with the Davis’ death.

Clinton Police Chief Ford Hayman says investigators are treating this homicide very seriously.

“There are no words for this. This is sad and tragic,“ he said. “We are going to part the person or persons responsible for this behind bars.“

Edwards’ personal social media posts had statements that could be connected to the homicide.

Clinton police say they’re aware of those posts and are working to ascertain if there’s a connection.
