According to OnlineDegreeProf.com, the bookstore at Jackson State University was recognized as one of the 51 Best College Bookstores in the United States, according to OnlineDegreeProf.com.
“The scoring of each institution was based on the university’s resource ability and access to school supplies, innovative technology, and industry-relevant textbook. Additionally, JSU was highlighted for the array of store offerings that cater to many affinities, including Greek organization apparel, school spirit products for all ages, and university-branded gifts for friends and family.”
According to Kamesha Hill, JSU Executive Director of Auxilary Enterprises, the JSU bookstore is a very all-inclusive bookstore and was developed by many individuals who have attended and poured into JSU for many years.
She said those who contribute to the store really strive to elevate the JSU brand and see the bookstore as an investment for the school.
“Our staff graduate from JSU or have strong ties to the University. We bring different dynamics to this work, and we know where JSU has been and are determined to continue progressing to provide the best for our students, faculty and staff,” Hill said.
“One of our goals is to ensure that once students, faculty, staff and guests enter the campus of Jackson State, they do not have to go off campus for anything,” Hill said. “As an alum, I want to ensure that the campus store includes who and what JSU is – we are competitive and assist with increasing the university’s retention and recruitment efforts.”
