Jones County search warrant leads to eight narcotics arrests

The Jones County Sheriff’s Department executed a narcotics search warrant this afternoon at a residence on T. Webber Drive in the Calhoun Community.

Sheriff Joe Berlin led a combined team of JCSD command staff, narcotics agents, investigators, patrol deputies, and corrections officers on the raid.

The search warrant team arrested eight adult males who were inside the residence and detained three adult females and a adult male in the front yard of the residence. The four individuals who were outside the residence were later released.

Sheriff Joe Berlin notes, “My statement on this raid is undoubtedly that some people can’t listen. Either quit with the dope or go somewhere else. When you become a thorn in my side I’ll do my best to remove it. Keep messing with me and poisoning our community and you will see me.”

The eight individuals arrested are currently being booked on illegal narcotics charges. Additional information and booking photos to come in a Tuesday morning press release.
