A Jones County man listed as #1 on the county’s most wanted list has been arrested overnight at a retail business in Laurel.

Donald Wayne Jordan, 36, was facing charges of sexual battery involving two children under the age of 5 at the time of the alleged assaults.

Tiffany Moses, 41, was also arrested on a charge of aiding escape from officers conveying articles.

“Great job by JCSD investigators and U.S. Marshals tracking down Donald Wayne Jordan overnight,” Jones County Sheriff Joe Berlin said. “He was our #1 Most Wanted fugitive following charges of sexual battery involving his girlfriend … and two children under the age of 5 each. The investigative details are so disturbing that even seasoned JCSD investigators cringed at what was revealed.”

Jordan and Moss are both incarcerated at the Jones County Adult Detention Facility pending their initial appearance in Jones County Justice Court.

“We greatly appreciate the U.S. Marshals Service for their assistance in this case,” Berlin said. “They always provide JCSD with help anytime we reach out to them.”

Darkhorse Press does not identify the victims of sexual crimes.
