The Jones County Sheriff’s Department is investigating, along with the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation, a suspected murder on Azzie Pitts Road in the Matthews community.
54-year-old Wilson Earl Myrick was found deceased by a co-worker this morning outside of his mobile home.
The victim is reported to have been shot and died at the scene.
Units from the following agencies responded to the scene: Jones County Sheriff’s Department Shady Grove Fire Rescue EMSERV Ambulance, Service Mississippi Bureau of Investigation Jones County District Attorney Brad Thompson Jones County Coroner’s Office Capitol Police Dept. – Crime Scene Unit.
The investigation into a suspect(s) in the incident is underway.
