The Jones County Sheriff’s Department arrested two individuals at a residence in Ovett overnight on illegal narcotics charges.

Larry Allen, age 58, and Stephanie Windham, age 34, were each arrested on Possession of Methamphetamine With Intent To Distribute charges. JCSD narcotics, along with agents backed by Patrol Division deputies, executed a search warrant at a residence on Dogwood Road in Ovett and seized methamphetamine, digital scales, and bags used to package meth for distribution.

JCSD Narcotics Division Sergeant Jake Driskell advises, “We had received several complaints about illegal drug activities on Dogwood Road. We were able to build a strong case for a search warrant and upon execution of the warrant discovered meth and items used in the distribution of meth.”

Jones County Sheriff Joe Berlin notes, “We continue to put pressure on those dealing in illegal narcotics in Jones County. Don’t expect that effort to let up anytime soon.”

Allen and Windham will appear before a Jones County Justice Court judge on Wednesday for their initial appearance.
