The Jackson Police Department has launched an investigation into a homicide that happened on Sunday, September 15 in the 3200 block of West Capitol Street.

Detectives reported that the victim, identified as Robert Lee Horton, was fatally shot at the location. Horton was pronounced dead at the scene, and his next of kin has been notified.
