Chief Wade said the suspect was still driving the victim’s truck when he was found, and he had blood on him from the victim, as well as the pink assault rifle he used to shoot him with.
He also had the victim’s credit cards on him.
Police said they don’t know the motive for the shooting, but said it appears that the victim was at the park and the suspect came and pulled him out of his truck then shot him.
Lindsey stayed in the area of north Jackson and was spotted at Walgreens near the park before he tried to flee police. He ended up crashing and hitting a JPD vehicle and another vehicle before he was taken into custody on Ridgewood Rd. and Adkins Blvd. The officer was not injured, but the citizen he hit was injured and taken to the hospital. Their condition is not known at this time.
MHP came to work the crash since a JPD cruiser was hit.
Chief Wade said that the suspect admitted that he killed and robbed McNair then dragged his body out of the truck.
