Jackson Police Investigating Four Shootings in Under 24 Hours

The Jackson Police Department is investigating four shootings that happened in under 24 hours.

WLBT reports that according to Jackson police,

20-year-old Charles Blackman was shot in both legs as he slept in his car waiting on food at waffle House on Highway 18 around 1:00 a.m. Tuesday. 

A man named Terry Butler shot his neighbor, Josh Lang then turned himself into Jackson police Tuesday morning.

Another man, Jermiel Triggs was shot on his right side while driving at the intersection of Lynch Street and Ellis Avenue. He was driven in a private vehicle to the University of Mississippi Medical Center. Jackson Police said the suspects were using assault rifles and driving a dark, older model Tahoe.

A 39-year-old man, Charles Mott, was found shot at the Oyo Hotel near Highway 80 after being shot in the left hip around 8 p.m. Monday.
