A man has been arrested in a homicide that took place on Ford Avenue last week.
According to Jackson Police Department, 36-year-old Willie Jones is charged with murder in the shooting death of John Lee Martin of Jackson.
JPD spokesman Sam Brown told reporters that the shooting took place outside Martin’s home on Ford Avenue near West Capitol Street at around 10 a.m. on June 17. The shooting allegedly followed an argument between Martin and Jones at Martin’s home that day.
Police had surveillance photos of a suspect fleeing the scene on a white Suzuki motorcycle.
