Jackson man wanted in June fatal shooting arrested by US Marshals

According to federal authorities, a man accused of fatally shooting his ex-girlfriend’s boyfriend and then taking a car with the woman and her son in it has been arrested and is now behind bars.

Jocqueze Williams was wanted in the June shooting death of Anthony Tyrone Lindsey at the Edgewood Apartments. Police say after that, Williams allegedly drove away with Tamora Sims and her one-year-old son in a white Dodge Charger.

U.S. Marshals confirmed he was arrested Tuesday in Lexington. He is currently being housed in the Hinds County Jail.

Williams was booked in on a murder charge.
