Jackson Police are investigating a shooting that happened around 8:00 pm Tuesday night.
Officers responded to a business in the 700 block of McDowell Road. When they arrived, they found a male who had been shot.
According to police, the victim was shot attempting to stop two black males from stealing his vehicle. The suspects fled the scene traveling east on McDowell Road with the victim’s white Jeep.
The victim was transported to a local hospital and was listed in stable condition.
