Jackson Man Sentenced To Over Three Years In Prison For Attempted Hobbs Act Robbery

A Jackson man was sentenced to 41 months in federal prison for attempted robbery in violation of the Hobbs Act.

25-year-old Myke Myers was sentenced in U.S. District Court in Jackson.

According to court documents, Myers attempted robbery of a Family Dollar in Jackson on December 20, 2021. Myers was subsequently taken into custody and admitted to his illegal actions when he pled guilty on August 2.

This case was investigated by the FBI and the Jackson Police Department. It is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Jessica S. Terrill.
