Police are investigating Jackson’s 82nd homicide of 2022.

The incident occurred late Friday at University Boulevard and Florence Street. Police say a 53-year-old male was found unresponsive in the front driver’s seat of a white vehicle that crashed into a pole.

According to Jackson Coroner Sharon Grisham Stewart, the victim has been identified as Willie Earl Moore.

The victim had multiple gunshot wounds to the body.

Investigators are still gathering information on motive and suspects.
