Hattiesburg Police are investigating the death of a white female who was found unresponsive on a sidewalk near an apartment complex in the 2300 block of West 7th Street.
The incident occurred in the early hours of Wednesday, April 17.
The Hattiesburg Police Crime Scene Unit confirmed the victim had been shot, and the 29-year-old female victim was pronounced dead on the scene.
At this time, her name is not being released until her immediate family has been notified.
